On the evening of November 13, 2023 William (Bill) Walsh passed away at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas Nevada. Bill was 88 years old. He was born April 11,1935 at Wilkes-Barre PA. He attended Girard College in Philadelphia PA. Girard College was a boarding school for fatherless children. His father passed away when Bill was a small child.
He is survived by his son William Walsh, daughter Sally Walsh as well as his brothers Danny Walsh and Tommy Moharter .  He is predeceased by his father William Walsh, mother Rose Horan and little brother Jackie Walsh. Bill had many cousins and relatives who were loved.
When he graduated Girard college at 18 years old he moved to Elizabeth NJ and was employed at Singer Sewing Machines. Bill continued his academic studies at Rutgers University while working full time. His interests in mathematics and science were a passion. He received a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and passed the Actuary exams.
Bill loved poetry and Astronomy. He loved long walks with his beloved dog Yogi. He would religiously go on daily five mile hikes with yogi. Bill loved travelling and seeing this beautiful country.
After 40 years with Prudential Insurance Company he retired. His passion was road trips and travelling the country. Some of his favorite destinations were Moab Utah, San Simeon CA, Big Bear CA and Joshua Tree CA. He also loved travelling anywhere in San Diego County CA. Bill loved all the National Parks. Bill had visited many National Parks in the country from Maine to Florida, Midwest and almost every National Park on the West Coast. Bill’s passion was travelling. Bill walked regularly in Balboa Park in San Diego. He also loved walking the beaches in San Diego.
