|Vicki Lynn (Irwin) Coutteau, age 61, passed away unexpectedly, peacefully, in her sleep at her home in Las Vegas on Saturday, November 12, 2022. She is survived by her devoted husband of 28 years, Rick and her pride & joy chihuahua Pockets, her mother Karel Parrish, brother Dwight Irwin, sister Laura Julius (Mike), mother-in-law Darlene Coutteau, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins & Friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard “Lee” Irwin.|
Vicki was born in Orange California in 1961, from there the family moved to various locations within California before relocating to Norman Oklahoma in 1968. During the summer of 1973 the family moved back to California and called Covina home where she attended Charter Oak High School.
After high school, she spent the majority of her adult life working as both a waitress and bartender. Vicki moved to Las Vegas in 1990 and began working as a cocktail waitress at Binion’s Hotel & Casino, where she met her husband, Rick. Some years later, she began working for Transition Services and found her true calling in the joy of working with developmentally challenged adults. She enjoyed meeting new people, always managing to put a smile on everyone’s face, strangers quickly becoming new friends.
Vicki was loved by all who were blessed to have known her. Her smile lighting up the room, she could always be depended on to help a stranger in need or just lend a kind word, always thinking of others rather than herself.
A service with reception to follow will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11:00 am, Faith Lutheran Church, 3505 S Town Center Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89135. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Vicki’s name to the Animal Foundation of Las Vegas; https://animalfoundation.com/donate
