June 15, 1957-July 15, 2021
Jerry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda, his two daughters, Jennifer (husband Tristan Ikner) and Jillian (fiancé Kile Valentine), and two grandchildren, Jade and Jalen.
Jerry grew up in and spent most of his life living in Brookfield, IL. He and his wife, Linda, moved to Las Vegas in 2016. Jerry was well loved and will be remembered by so many. He was a passionate man who gave his all in anything he was involved in. His family was his priority and he would do anything for his daughters. Jerry will be remembered for his heavy involvement at St. Barbara’s School in Brookfield, IL where he volunteered many hours coaching girl’s basketball. He also created a successful fundraising program that the school used for many years. Outside of St. Barbara’s, Jerry dedicated his time to Brookfield Little League by coaching numerous softball teams and umpiring both baseball and softball games. Tuesday’s (and many other nights) were dedicated to bowling. Jerry loved bowling and made so many lifelong friends while participating in leagues and the USBC (United States Bowling Congress). He also enjoyed playing cards. Jerry played in many tournaments and local groups where he met lots of people and just like any classic episode of Cheers, everybody knew his name and was always glad he came. If you knew Jerry at all, then you know his greatest passion was the Chicago Bears. Win or lose, on the field or in his chair, Jerry was always rooting for his home team.
Memorial services to honor the life of Jerry will be held in both Las Vegas and Illinois. Family will be in contact with dates and locations.
