In loving memory of Fred H Mahlstedt, aka Freddy, aka Prairie Dog, age 77, passed away September 20, 2023 in Las Vegas, NV. He is survived by his cat Boo Boo Kitty who now lives with his friends Kelly and Jenn. He was like a second father to me and a loyal friend to many. He loved his cigs, Budweisers, western TV, NASCAR, and country music. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity to the people he cared about. Fred’s passing will leave a void in the lives of all who knew him, but his memory will forever live on in our hearts. May he rest in peace.

  2. I am so sad to hear of Fred’s passing. Will there be a celebration of life? My mom (Fred’s sister), sisters and I would be interested in any information that can be given. Thank you.

  3. Fred is survived by 2 siblings; his younger brother and sister. I remember our childhood games of monopoly, Chinese checkers etc. He and brother Bob made the first skate boards in our neighborhood by using a wooden board and a separated pair of roller skates nailed to the board. We lived in the first track homes built in Thousand Oaks California. As kids we wandered the hills and brought home cattle skulls and bones. Wonderfull memories.
