Edwin Gutierrez Lao

Edwin Gutierrez Lao, 79 years old, of No. Las Vegas, died in his peaceful repose at the comfort of his own
home on Wednesday, January 20th , 2021.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Thelma, daughters Hera Magpantay, Eos Belen, Cris Larsen, and
Erinna Lao-Danelian, son-in-law Richard Larsen, Ednardo Belen, and Dany Danelian, and many loving
grandchildren Gino, Aegi, Rafaela, April, MJ, Tyler, Hunter, Darcy and Anthony. Edwin was a loving
husband, father, and grandfather.

Edwin was quiet, humble, and hardworking. His life evolved around his family. As a young father, Edwin
chose to commute daily to and from work, waking up at the crack of dawn and coming home in the
evening to be with his family. His weekends were devoted to spending quality time with his wife and
children watching movies, going on outings, and attending Sunday mass. Edwin enjoyed watching
basketball specifically the Lakers, boxing, and tennis. He was an avid fan of Bruce Lee, James Bond
movies, and martial arts genre. Edwin appreciated a wide variety of music genres such as jazz, country,
soft rock and many others.

To quote one of his favorite songs, Edwin “lived a life that’s full…travelled each and every highway and
more, much more than this, He did it his way”.

Edwin will be cremated on Friday, January 29, 2021. Out
of abundance of caution and compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, only small group of immediate
family members will be allowed to bid Edwin farewell.
