Wesley Joseph Brummitt I (Wes), 69, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 of Covid-19.

Wes was born on May 26, 1952 in Leavenworth, KS, son of Verlan Basil and Mary Irene (Tipton) Brummitt.

He leaves behind his lovely wife of 19 years Irina A. Brummitt of Taganrod, Russia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Wesley Joseph Brummitt II (Joe) on November 19, 2007. He is survived by his daughter Janette Marie Brummitt and her twin daughters Nour and Laila Halloul of El Paso, TX, and the daughter of his late son Joe, Samara Brummitt of Montgomery, AL. Wes is also survived by his brother William (Bill) Brummitt and his wife and family, his brother Wayne (John) Brummitt and his son, and his brother Wilbur (Jerry) Brummitt and his wife and sons, and his many cousins.

Wes served in the United States Marine Corps and fought in the Vietnam War, then served in the United States Army.

Memorial service is scheduled for March 29, 2022 at 1:20pm at the Southern Nevada Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV.

  1. He and I were good friends a very long time ago. I got to know hm when he was serving at LTA base in Tustin Ca, we went to SGI Buddhist Mtg’s together.
