Leanne Dunford, 80, passed away March 14, 2023. Leanne was born in Salt Lake City, UT. and grew up and graduated high school in Utah. After high school Leanne met and married Chauncey Dunford and traveled the world to far away places such as France and Germany. They soon had 2 children Mark and Paul. They lived in many places as a family in California and to eventually Las Vegas, Nevada. Leann went to work for the Mirage, Treasure Island and lastly to the Bellagio for many years as a black-jack dealer. Leann loved her many fun family adventures with her children as they grew up going to Disney World, California beaches, Utah, camping, family parties at home with many friends and relatives and many family camping trips. After the boys grew up, Leann divorced and remained single the rest of her years. Leann had many interests including writing, photography, painting, rock climbing, swimming, hiking in Red Rock Canyon and spending time with her family and loved ones.

Leanne will be missed by many and remembered always for her candid and strong personality and love of nature. She is preceded in death by her father, Otoniel; mother, Eva; sister, Adrienne; and brothers, Tony Jr., Billy and Bobby. Leanne is survived by her son; Mark and his wife Deborah, and grandson; Marcus. Her son Paul and his wife Lorrie and grand daughter Arianna, Sisters, Tilly and Teddi, brothers, Nelson, Sal and Mike; and many nephews, in-laws, cousins, extended family and dear friends. No services are scheduled at this time.

The last quote that Leann was reading and marked in her journal next to her bedside was this: “Twas a glad day when Jesus found me, When his strong arms were thrown around me, When my sins He buried in the deepest sea, And my soul he filled with joy and victory”

-Reitz

Leann will be forever remembered in our hearts, and until we meet again on the other side, rest in peace and pain free in the Kingdom of Heaven. Leanne was a christian and passed peacefully humming to one of her favorite songs sung to her by family ” Amazing Grace.

    1. hi, this is Teddi Sanchez, may I ask your name and where do you live? I appreciated your comments but couldn’t figure out who you might be. thanks

  3. In Remembrance of my dearest sister – – We are all just passing time and occupy our chair very briefly. The time we had with Leanne was a gift and we are all the better that she occupied her chair so well. I am saddest that we didn’t get to be cute ol’ ladies together, into our 100s – turning the heads of handsome men. My dear sister you are missed everyday and thought about with wonderful memories. Teddi Sanchez
