James was born in Buffalo, NY, on 2-21-2003 and came to live in Las Vegas in 2006 with his Dad , Cory In 2009 The family went to live in Oklahoma, where James would tell you he’s from to this day. While in Oklahoma James played Little league football with The Purcell Dragons, winning a state title in The 6u division. When he was 8 years old he went to a Hockey game at the Cox convention centre in Oklahoma city, which led to a life changing opportunity for him. He met Michael Mcewen and the rest as they say is history. He said he wanted to play Hockey and that was it, A way of life was born. He played house league at Blazer’s Ice centre in Oklahoma city. Then Was asked to Join the travel organisation The Oklahoma City Oil Kings in the Squirt Minor team. Where he became the heart and soul of the team. He played the sport that he loved for a few more years, and was always his little brother’s number one fan in later years when he did not play anymore. He always said that The greatest accomplishment of his life was his Medal that he won with The Oil Kings in St Louis at the Gateway tournament.
James graduated from Legacy High school in 2021. He worked at many different jobs,Cane’s, Smith’s, Walmart and most recently Las Vegas Parking . James passed away on 12-14-2022 He leaves Behind His Father Cory, Step Mother Christa, Sister Jayden, Brother Gabriel, And Brother Caleb, all of the home. He also Leaves Behind his beloved Mother Kelly , Step father Eric, Sister Hailey, Brother Edwin, And Baby sister Leigha Mae, all of Columbia , Tenn. Grandmother Kolleen, and Grandfather Gary. Aunts and Uncles Gary And Kristi Woods and Chris and Amanda Peinta. ANd many cousins and friends and family.
He is preceded in Death by his Grandmother Earil Wilson, Grand father James Hays, Nana Phyllis Hays and Great Grandmother Ollie Roper.
